Bless-A-Family Program

 Outreach Program
In 2003, St. Peter’s Worship Arts Ministry Action Team started an outreach program, Adopt-A-Family, to benefit families both in our congregation and in our surrounding community during the Christmas holiday season. The goal of our Adopt-A-Family outreach program is to reach out to people and families, during this often stressful time of year, to bring the hope and joy of Christ to their lives by being Christ-like examples in generosity and prayer.
Over the last several years this outreach program has been able to lend a helping hand to many families in the form of financial assistance, home repairs, food, clothes and Christmas presents for their children. Additionally, with the help of the gift card program, run by the Senior High Youth Team, hundreds of dollars in gift certificates for food, fuel, and a variety of local stores also helped to provide these families with much needed wish list items. The program is completely funded by the generous donations of St. Peter’s congregation.
In 2012, St. Peter changed the name of this program to Bless-A-Family.

1 Timothy 6:18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds and to be generous and willing to share.
